ABOUT DR. MATT SUCHANEC

Chiropractor in Philadelphia, PA

Dr. Matt Suchanec

Dr. Matt Suchanec grew up in State College, PA where he discovered at a young age that he enjoyed learning how the body worked. He knew he wanted to pursue a career in the health profession where he could share his knowledge and have an impact on the health and well-being of others. He attended Penn State University and received his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. While he was in school he worked 4 years at a physical therapy office on campus as a PT Aide which taught him the importance of movement and exercise on overall health. He was first introduced to the chiropractic profession his senior year and discovered he wanted to pursue it as a career because it allows him to take a medication-free approach to pain management which truly allows him to focus on his patient’s overall health.

Dr. Suchanec then attended Northeast College of Health Sciences (formerly known as New York Chiropractic College) and graduated with honors with his doctorate in Chiropractic. Due to his desire to help diverse populations, he applied to a rigorous honors clerkship at the VA hospital in Bay Pines, Florida. This gave him valuable knowledge and exposed him to many complex cases while also allowing him to give back to those who served our country.

Dr. Suchanec greatly enjoys working with athletes, as he has a certification in Advanced Sport and Human Performance. His background in physical therapy gives him a greater understanding of athletes’ daily wear and tear on their bodies. He worked with many athletes during an internship at the University of Buffalo. He has also volunteered at many 5Ks and half marathons to treat the racers and help improve their overall performance.

When he is not treating patients, Dr. Matt enjoys being active whether it be hiking, fishing, golfing, weight lifting, or relaxing on the beach with his fiancé, Emily.
